The monthly Emergency Medicine podcast hosted by Amal Mattu, MD
Dr. Amal Mattu is one of the premier speakers in Emergency Medicine, and has developed quite a loyal following because of the entertaining way he is able to present important clinical topics. Each month, EMedHome.com will present a 90-minute podcast hosted by Dr. Mattu in which he will discuss recent literature, recent cases, and current "hot" topics. Dr. Mattu will offer his insight and that of colleagues and fellow experts in order to provide you with the practical information required to keep your practice state-of-the-art. Each monthly EMCast can be heard straight from the internet, or downloaded to your PC or to a CD. Each EMCast is available for 1.5 hours of Category 1 AMA/ACEP CME credit.
As of January 1, 2008, new ACCME rules mandate that all required ACCME information must be transmitted to the physician prior to beginning the CME activity. Each monthly EMCast may be found by clicking the View EMCast List button.
ACCME accreditation statement
EMedHome.com is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. EMedHome.com designates this continuing medical education activity (i.e. each monthly podcast) for a maximum of 1.5 hours in Category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spends in the educational activity. All faculty participating in continuing medical education programs sponsored by EMedHome.com are expected to disclose to the audience any real or apparent conflicts of interest to the content of their presentations. This CME activity is approved by the American College of Emergency Physicians for 1.5 hours of ACEP category 1 credit.
Target Audience & Objectives
This activity is intended for physicians with a focus on emergency medicine providers. Upon completion of this CME activity, participants will be able to apply the latest advances, research, and consensus expert opinion in clinical diagnosis, management, and treatment necessary for the practice of Emergency Medicine.
