Pearls and Pitfalls in Monitoring the Critically Ill ED Patient

1. Discuss the pitfalls in monitorin arterial pressure, central venous pressure, and global markers of tissue ischemia in the critically ill.
2. Identify emerging techniques to measure cardiac output and monitor regional markers of tissue hypoperfusion.
